OH MY GOD! My life is complete!

It came today! I have been waiting and waiting (it hasn't even been a week) for this to come. I was so excited. It was all wrapped cute and matching just waiting for me to bust it open. This is going to make my car driving experience complete. Thank you so much Lisagh at Grosgrain Garage for my spiffy little monogrammed key chain. Now along with my matching car glasses I'm going to be set for some nice weather and the top down in my new little car.
Now my life is complete today. I'll keep you tuned in to the next item or items that are going to change my life!

I've Been Tagged! Some Unimportant Things About Me

I have been tagged again! Thank you Shelia at Life at Number 17. These are always fun.
Rules:
1. Link back to the person who tagged you
2. Post these rules on your blog
3. Share six unimportant things about yourself [aren't ya'll in for a treat]
4. Tag six random people at the end of your entry [I will try my best]
5. Let the six people know by leaving a comment on their blogs [ditto above]

1. I'm a computer idiot!
I know how limited things but for the most part I just don't get it. If I have to sit at the computer and read for hours on end how to do something, it's not getting done. I barley know how to blog right. The only reason I have done what I have is because of WSU Laura. She is always answers my questions or tells me how to do what I want done. THANK YOU LAURA! I sat at this computer for 2 days straight trying to figure out how to build a website on one of those "easy as 123" sites. It never happened! I finally had to hire someone to help me. It's sad but it's true. I JUST DON'T GET IT!

2. I'm obsessed with knowing about The South life style and tastes. Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Now I know when you ladies look at this your going to say "that's not the south" but when you live in Washington State it all is to us. I can't get enough information about the decorating styles, food, or fashion. The women seem to have different tastes, style and attitudes then the women out in the Pacific Northwest and I LOVE IT! It all started back in the early 90's when I went on a trip to Texas and all the women seemed to be dressed to the 9's and in perfect make up all the time. Their homes were lovely and I felt like a frumpy farm girl that just crawled off a Greyhound Bus. I was amazed and at the same time sucked in. By 1994 I was obsessed with moving to Texas. My mother promptly talked me out of it. Again in 1997 I was obsessed with moving to Georgia. I did it! I was only there for a short time and I enjoyed it but found that my umbilical cord just didn't stretch that far. :-)
I'm still obsessed with it and try to get my husband to move on a weekly bases. For now I get to read all your blogs which is so fun for me. Watch way too much HGTV, and read every magazine and book I can get my hands on.

3. I'm annoyed with dirty laundry! I do laundry just about every day so there is NO dirty laundry laying around at my house. You will never find piles of dirty laundry at my house. If you do it's because I'm working on it after a trip or my husband unhooked the washer and dryer to give them a rest for a couple days. It drives me nuts! Now for my friends reading this thinking I'm judging them on their dirty laundry piles.......NO I'm not. It's only my house! :-)

4. I hate snakes and lizards. As far as I'm concerned they were put on this earth for one thing and one thing only...........Boots, shoes, and handbags!

5. I totally profile people. I secretly do it. I spent years working in the Human Resource field and many of those years interviewing people for jobs. People really do follow a patterns and pretty soon you learn to read those patterns. Now with all the new police shows on and self help shows, I get to learn even more about people their nature. I'm secretly profiling people in my mind. Why you ask?? I don't know??? In case the show Criminal Minds calls and wants me to help them solve a case. I'll be ready! I do love that show.

6. If feel like I'm still not living up to my potential everyday. Feel like I could be a better person, better friend, better daughter, better wife, and do more with my life. I'm working on it but always feel like I could be doing better.

Raspberry Jam and The Whore

This is a some what typical conversation between The Hubs and me.
Mind you we have been watching a lot of TUDORS and I’m bringing you in the middle of our phone conversation, but you will get the gist of it. The Hubs is always calm when talking, never gets too excited. I’m always very dramatic and usually all worked up.

The Hubs: You should go to lunch with them and have a good time.
Timi: Thanks Honey! I guess I should start putting out a little more for you.
The Hubs: Yes, you should or I’m going to go to town
Timi: Really?
The Hubs: You leave me no choice.
Timi: So your going to town and getting a whore?
The Hubs: Yep!
Timi: I made you raspberry jam! I made you cookies! I made you cake and cupcakes! Does your whore do that for you?
The Hubs: Well she hasn’t ever made me raspberry jam.
Timi: EXACTLY!
Click!
This is why I love him. He makes me laugh and doesn't get all bent out of shape about my rants, no matter how ridiculous they are.

News and Reality TV

Lets just get clear the air now........I WATCH TOO MUCH TV!
As you all know The Hubs had a birthday yesterday. I was unaware that he shared it with a couple of my favorite actresses. I found this information very exciting. However The Hubs was unexcited. He said "uhmmm"
Shirley Temple who turned 80 and ValerieBertinellie who turned 48.
I was shocked at Shirley Temple being 80. I guess when you watch the movies over and over you get stuck in a time warp and forget they have aged. She still looks great!
Valerie looks great also. I think she looked great when she was chubby too! I haven't read her book yet. Has anyone? Is it worth the purchase?
On a side note I told a long time friend (we went to grade school and high school together) yesterday in an e-mail that it was The Hubs birthday and she sent me a reply that made me laugh so hard I thought I would wet my pants. She said "Oh I didn't know he shared a birthday with my Dad , brother and cousin" "It's also the day I lost my virginity!" Now when I told The Hubs this I got a reaction. "DAMN!" "Why would you tell me that, now I'm going to be looking at her weird when I see her!" He was probably right , I should have kept that information to myself but it just made me laugh.
Does everyone know the date they lost their virginity? I know who it was with but not the date.
Anyway on to more interesting news I learned last night......Star Jones getting a divorce. Very interesting indeed. I'm not sure why I found this so interesting but I did. I will say it was hard not to pass judgement on her. But since she doesn't call and let me know what's going on I guess I don't know the whole story! So I'll save my judgement rant for myself.
Has anyone but me been watching Big Brother 9?
I can't believe that Shelia and Adam made it to the final 3. I really thought those two jokers would have been voted out in the beginning. All Shelia ever did was complain and whine. And Adam........his voice drove me nuts! Now that Ryan is a hottie and I think he played the game well and should win. Mostly he should win because he is a little hottie.
Now to the thing that made me laugh the most last night...Shelia being shocked that she was getting voted out. Did she really think that a guy would pick her over another guy??? Good grief! Guys stick together and they are really going to stick together when there are cameras on them and other guys watching! DAH!
Well I'm glad this almost over, I ready to wrap up my reality show viewing for a while. I have Survivor to finish up, Top Chef, and Hell's Kitchen. With the days getting a little longer and maybe some nice weather in our future I'm going to want to do something else beside sit my big fat doughnut eatin, Cold Stone eatin ass in front of the TV.
By the way.......If you haven't tried Cold Stone Creamery you should. I highly recommend the banana ice cream with fudge mixed in. It's addicting.

Does anyone watch Days of Our Lives?
I'm loving the new John Black! Finally someone who isn't so goody goody all the time. That show was screaming for a villain. Especially now that Stephano is in a comma. Victor is now reflecting on his life and wants to change to be a better person. You know Oprah is having an effect on people when even soap opera villains want to change! Nicole should shake things up a little too.
OK, that's it. I need to get busy. After my dismal performance yesterday I do have to be crazy productive today!
P.S. Charlie did get a bath this morning and another bath towel was sacrificed.

Oprah's Self Help Book Recommendations Aren't Helping Me!

I have been listening to the Secret and Ekhart Tolle on CD as recommended by Oprah. Well I thought I was getting a little something out of them but apparently I'm not!
Today is The Hubs Birthday and I did nothing. Let me remind you yesterday was our 2nd wedding anniversary and I also did nothing. I'm the worst wife ever! I really thought I would be a better wife then I am. To all those guys I dated out there who dumped my ass...........GOOD CALL!
I had the best of intentions but just didn't make it happen. The Hubs has class tonight so I can't redeem myself by making a nice dinner. I guess there is still time for a cake. I should have gotten him something fabulous and made a cake or cupcakes to take in to his office. This is how bad a wife I am................I don't even know where his office is. AAAAAAAh lordy, it's getting worse isn't it? Wait until I finish the story...............
I started out my day thinking I was going to get so much done today. Crazy productive! Do something for The Hubs for his birthday, get a gift, stop and get his dry cleaning that I keep forgetting to get, and perhaps pick up something wonderful for him to snack on when he gets home tonight late after a long day at work and school. I even made myself some lunch at home and fixed a Diet Coke in my new fabulous car matching glasses. I didn't want to be wasteful and I didn't want to eat any junk food while out being so productive. Well I trotted off to town and made the mistake of stopping at the casino for a minute. HUGE MISTAKE! I lost all my money, didn't get The Hubs a gift , a card, not even something wonderful to eat when he gets home from school tonight. I did stop at the grocery and get a few things we were out of like Diet Coke for me! In addition to this I bought a box of Hostess Variety Pack doughnuts which I ate on the way home thinking it might make me feel better about the horrible decisions I had made. Well guess what??? Now, not only do I feel horrible about being a bad wife, a wife with "the problem", a self absorbed wife now I'm a wife with a big fat doughnut eating ass!
On top of all of this the building contractor that we had build our deck last summer (who never finished and never came back to finish after repeated calls) is now calling me every day wanting money for his work. Today was one of his standard phone calls. This just gets me stewing even more.
Is this why people drink and do drugs!
*********UPDATE***************
Charlie and I made an effort to get ourselves out of hot water on The Hubs birthday. I made a chocolate Kahlua cake and yellow cake cupcakes with chocolate frosting. Both The Hubs favorite. Charlie had to help because he pooped on the floor tonight. He also stinks because I didn't give him a bath today. I'm hoping if I drag him in to my cake making The Hubs won't notice he still smells. The pooping on the floor.........The Hubs can probably do without knowing that today.
Charlie in the middle of the kitchen floor helping me.

Kahlua Cake
1 Chocolate Cake Mix (I like the Duncan Hines Triple Chocolate Super moist Cake Mix)
1 Pint Sour Cream (non fat works too)
1 small package chocolate or vanilla instant pudding (sugar free works too)
2 eggs
¼ cup vegetable or canola oil
½ cup Kalua
Chocolate chips optional
Mix all together by hand. Do not use mixer. It doesn’t have to be mixed until the lumps are out. Just mix until the cake mix is mixed in with all the other ingredients. Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes in a bunt pan. This also works well in cupcake tins. Frost with either chocolate frosting or sprinkle with powder sugar.
I like to make this cake in small bunt pans and give away as gifts with a plate of cookies for the holidays. It’s always a hit.

Today Is My and The Hubs 2nd Wedding Anniversary

Today is my and The Hubs second wedding anniversary. Yeah, another year of nobody getting their eyes poked out for bad behavior. Well we don't have anything special planned (we are just too lazy and procrastinators) so I thought in honor of this wonderful event I would try to organize the wedding pictures a little bit. They have been sitting on a shelf for 2 years now in this exact mess.
Yes I know if I had a any "good wife" sense I would have had those in a lovely scrap book the day after the wedding. Well here's the deal......I'm lazy! I have lots of good ideas but really none of them ever come about. So here they sit. Today I cleaned them all up, went through some of them, threw some out and made it look like I was at least trying.

Here are some fun pictures for your viewing pleasure I found while going through that pile.

The Hubs Then and Now......Still bald!

Me in my younger day
OK, I guess I better go work on my photo scanning abilities before I share any more pictures with you. I swear in my next life when I'm tall and skinny and very popular..........I'm going to be a computer genius too!

Thank You For Snow In April!

Snow Days Are My Friend!
I know I've been complaining for the last 3 days about snow in April but apparently snow days need to occur for me about once a month! Why you ask? The Hubs and I got so much done around here it was almost embarrassing it took snow to get us motivated. I got all my cool stuff listed on eBay, I got the computer room cleaned up, we found the other desk (it was piled high with crap) so The Hubs has a place to work now, I got all the laundry done, floors vacuumed, all caught up on the TUDORS, got some shopping in with WSU Laura, The Hubs and I got some of WSU Laura's wine drank up (we stopped by unannounced looking for a free drink) and we made some RVing plans with WSU Laura and family. All in all I felt like we got a lot accomplished. Like I said maybe we need 3 snow days once a month!

My Continued Effort To Not Be Wasteful
WSU Laura brought me some gifts this weekend. YEAH! I love gifts!
She bought me these lovely non-breakable glasses for our Mobile Estate. Well I just love them and couldn't wait for another camping trip to use them. As I was pulling them out of the dishwasher I realized that I had a better plan for these lovelies. I turned to The Hubs and said "these are my car glasses" "they can only be used in the car" Of course he looked at me and rolled his eyes and said "Are you freakin kidding me?" "Now we have to have special glasses for the car too?" He's still not over me buying special glasses for the Mobile Estate. Then I explained to him, every time I go to town I stop some where and get a Diet Coke BEFORE I even get started on my journey. The average stop is $1.67 per stop plus I'm using 1 cup, 1 lid, 1 straw. Sometimes I stop twice during the day. So now I have my new fabulous glasses that not only match my car perfect, they fit in the cup holders perfect and they hold 1 can of Diet Coke. Since I got my new glasses on Friday I haven't stopped to get a Diet Coke. I fix one at home and take it with me. Doing my part to cut back on my paper and plastic product consumption. I would like to cut back on my Diet Coke consumption but ONE THING AT A TIME!

And The Snow Continues!

We woke up to about 3" of snow this morning. Doesn't the calendar say April?
This isn't at all what I had in mind for this weekend. The Hubs just went and bought a new fancy pressure washer the other day and we were going to get busy this weekendgetting things cleaned up. Guess we will get some stuff done around inside the house and finish watching season 1 of the TUDORS.

Out the front window this morning.

That's The Hubs last night with Charlie out in the snow. That dog LOVES LOVES LOVES the snow. He gets his nose all the way down under the snow and snowplows as far as he can doing about 100 miles an hour. It usually takes about 2 seconds for him to be covered in snow and look like a snowball with 4 legs.
Oh, you ask if those are daffodils in the picture with the snow. Why yes it is! Last I heard it was SPRING HERE!

Did Mother Nature Forget To Look At What Month It Is?????

It's April 18, 2008 here in Western Washington. All I can say is............
ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME!!!
I went shopping with WSU Laura today only to come home to this! Yes folks that's snow! An not just a little dusting a lot of it. As I sit and type to you it's almost white out across the yard and in the trees.

Our beautiful weeping cheery that had beautiful pink blossoms on it.

Patio furniture that was screaming for new cushions last Saturday when it was 70 out.

Out our computer room window. White as far as the eye can see. On the bright side, I have the best view out my window. I love working from home. Where else can you listen to Oprah in peace, enjoy a view, have a diet coke with ice and do it all in your sweats!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Oprah Show on April 17, 2008 WASTE

Did anyone watch Oprah yesterday? The subject was "what would you do without?" It was so interesting. When (not that long ago) I was a single woman with a sting of low paying jobs and never having enough money, waste wasn't' an option for me. I figured out ways to use everything and shop thrifty just to get by. Even now that I'm married and money is a little bit better I am still always in "Save and Use Up" frame of mind. I think it's a similar frame of mind that people living through the depression have.
The Oprah show yesterday made me really think about how The Hubs and I go through everyday life trying to be mindful of saving money and not wasting money , and in turn we are being sometimes more wasteful.
Sometimes while in "save" frame of mind, I can now see we are being even more wasteful in our efforts. I'm a coupon cutter and sale shopper. I will purchase things that I normally wouldn't buy just because I have a coupon. There are lots of times I know when buying the product that it's wasteful and something else would probably work just as well. Great Example; Mr Clean Eraser Sponge. What a huge waste of money! I knew when I bought it just scrubbing something with a little Soft scrub or even baking soda and elbow grease would do the job. Not to mention something else to fill up the landfills that doesn't probably break down. But noooooooooo I bought the sponge because I had a coupon. WASTEFUL! I used it 1 time and it's still sitting under the sink waiting to be thrown away. It didn't' work, it was a waste of money! Another example buying Avocados on sale because they are 4 for $10. Bananas, lettuce, tomatoes buying large quantities because they are on sale for a bulk price. The Hubs and I can't eat 4 avocados before they are not any good or 4or 5 of anything else before it goes bad. Well maybe cookies, we seem to do a good job on those! Lets face it, most of the produce you get in the grocery store is on it's last leg when we get it. Some of it is minutes away from needing to be compost. We are taking more then we need just because it's a deal. I know that the grocery store will give me the same price per pound on those items even if I buy 1! Yet I don't do it.
Energy wasting...........I'm guilty! 2 TV's on all day long. I don't watch them I listen to them while I'm working on the computer or wasting time on the computer. The computer..............on 24/7 and The Hubs and I are guilty of one of us being on it ALL the time. Gas heat...on all day long! I get up in the morning, shut off the outside lights that have been on all night, go down stairs and turn on the gas stove, TV and usually start the dryer or washing machine. EVERYDAY! Let me talk about the dryer if I'm confessing all my sins, I sometimes turn on the 18 minute wrinkle release setting 2 or 3 times before I actually take the clothes out and fold them. Mind you the clothes were dry before I started wrinkle release. Why do I do this? I don't take the clothes out as soon as my little song plays that lets me know the dryer is done. So they sit there, I come back hours or the next day and start it yet again and walk away. I forget that's what I was doing. WASTEFUL! I'm embarrassed.
The TV and Computer are two things I don't think The Hubs and I could live with out. We have a TV line up EVERY NIGHT that we think we must watch. I am guilty of going to sleep with the TV on every night. This is a sad statement I know and it's something we should probably start working on. Last night The Hubs was talking to me during one of "my shows" and I was all annoyed because he was talking. This isn't good! Even if I don't have a clue to what he's talking about or even care I should be listening. I would expect the same from him. This isn't a good way to start a marriage.
I shop for entertainment, I waste food, and I'm a TV / computer junkie. What am I going to do to change things? Probably not a damn thing! However I need to make some sort of effort.

I did make a New Years resolution that I would try to not take plastic bags when I was shopping. I said it out loud so I had to stick with it. WSU Laura turned me on to the L L Bean boat tote and it changed my life! I now use this for everything. It has helped in cutting down in plastic bags. I fill it up with all my post office stuff, dry cleaning and whatever other errands I have to do and throw it in the car. When it's empty I know I'm done, then I head to the grocery if I need to and take it in with me. I purchased an XL tote in the beginning and just recently got another in a size large. LLBEAN
It's just not just the money wasting that makes me feel guilty I'm starting to feel guilty about the environment too. Yes I admit I never did before until the last couple years. I worry about it but I haven't made much of an effort.
So now I need to rethink how I'm doing things around here. Will the TV and Computer be cut down? Probably not right away. That's pretty drastic. But I can come up with some other ways to cut back and stop being so wasteful. Let me know what your doing. Lets trade ideas.
Have a great weekend!
Timi
P.S. My commentary on Oprah if you did catch the show. The first family they had on there was HORRIBLE, they made no effort and should have been embarrassed of their out come. As well as they were sooooo wasteful. I was flabbergasted over the statement the husband made saying they were on the brink of losing everything yet they made little to no effort to change. Also...... if you TV cameras in your house wouldn't you want your room clean???
The second family with 2 young children did GREAT! They get big kudos from me. They took the challenge to heart and really looked at their lives and where they could change. GOOD JOB! They should be an example to all of us.

Monogram Obssession Continues and A New Obssession Emerges

So my obsession for monogrammed items continues and a new one has emerged thanks to WSU Laura.
A couple weeks ago Miss Laura invited me to go see the movie The Other Boleyn Girl with her. She had read the book and as usual I had no idea what it was about. Well I LOVED it! I found this movie so interesting and at the end of the movie a light bulb went on. The movie Elizabeth http://www.nbcuniversalstore.com/detail.php?p=32223 (with Cate Blanchett) all the sudden made some sense. I had seen that movie a couple months ago and liked it but didn't fully understand the whole background of how she came to power. Well now The Hubs and I are obsessed with this part of history this month. It's our obsession of the month.
We have been watching the first season of The TUDORS http://www.sho.com/site/tudors/home.do for hours on end, and Elizabeth The Golden Age http://www.elizabeththegoldenage.net/. Last night while watching episode 4 and 5 of The TUDORS we had some questions so The Hubs went up and got on line. He found this great website that has all kinds of links that tell more about each character in The TUDORS. Luminarium Encyclopedia http://www.luminarium.org/encyclopedia/queenmary.htm I'm sure there are many blogs and discussions out there about all of these movies and have been going on for a while and this is all old news. The Hubs and I are a little slow on the "current wagon" when it comes to some things. Does that mean we are getting old?
I find so many aspects of this part of history interesting. Not to mention the costumes in these movies are beautiful. If they would have shown movies like this in history class when I was in school I might have paid attention instead of obsessing over boys. **NOTE*** These movies really aren't for kids. They are very adult.
Also this weekend I received some of my first items for my little online business. Of course it's a monogrammed item. The Hubs just rolled his eyes but I love them! Estate Flags with matching pole. They come with your choice of a Fleur de Les pole or pineapple pole. Both look fabulous. They will retail for $60 for the flag on your choice of pole.
I'm so excited to get ours hung up. I originally bought one for our Mobile Estate but now I think I'll have to have one on the house too.

Well I guess I better get busy today. I had a very unproductive day yesterday. A nice day with my long time friend Suzy who came over for tea and a visit. But I got nothing done so today I need to be a busy fool.
Have a wonderful day!

Tagged By WSU Laura

I was tagged this morning by WSULaura. Being new to blogging I thought "oh I better stop doing laundry and get right on this!" So here we go!

Here are the really simple rules. Answer each of the five questions. Tag five bloggers you would like to pass the meme to. Have them link back to you and to this post as the source meme.

1. What food do you consider the best “date” food? In other words, what meal or food item do you think is sexiest to eat in the company of someone you would like to look sexy around?
WOW! I love food so this could be anything. I do enjoy a really good pizza and cold beer. If you enjoy the person your with and are having a good time isn't any kind of food sexy? Besides that I'm sure Mike Rowe (from Dirty Jobs) or Guy Fieri (3-D's on FoodNetWork) will want to have beer and pizza before we have sex. Both are on my list of 5 ok to have sex with so either one will do :-) This would be Mike after we had sex!

2. What well-known person would you like to share a meal with—with or without clothing. Clothes on........I would have to say Paula Deen, only because the food would be great and she wouldn't care if I ate myself silly on all that fabulous food. Clothes off????...........Mike Rowe

3. What does your perfect breakfast-in-bed look like? (Food AND the details, please. Candles? Music? Flowers? Hot tub? Dancing girls? Laura your description was so sweet. I guess I must have been single too long.........Perfect breakfast in bed for me.......Whore's breakfast! An excellent piece of cold pizza and a Diet Coke on ice of course. I can't just have any cold pizza, I do have my standards. A really good Canadian Bacon and Pineapple for Whore's Breakfast is my favorite. Then a new edition of my favorite magazines and HGTV on in the background would be a great breakfast in bed to me. Oh yeah, The Hubs there too would be great. Again..........single too long! Still trying to get use to the whole including thing.

4. What do you consider the best application of whipped cream to be? Chocolate Pie

5. Oh-God-No, Biff, the yacht is sinking! You are sent to the galley to retrieve the food. What luxury food items do you snatch first? The champagne? The caviar? Smoked Salmon? Truffles? Chocolate? Or something else?
Oh my God I would drown trying to decided! I would grab the Diet Coke for sure then I would have to grab the chocolate. Then I would think about my long term survival. I would need the Diet Coke and Chocolate just to get me through the decision making.
The five I tag are:
The Swedish Flicka Which she has already been tagged so it dosen't really count.
I got NO ONE to tag! That's so sad!

The Washington Coast at Ocean Shores

If you have never been to Washington State you are missing out!
We have some of the most beautiful views you have ever seen. There are many beautiful places in our wonderful United States but I truly believe Washington State has some of the most beautiful. There are times when looking out your car window, home windows, or plane windows that you think you may be looking at a picture. You think to yourself, "this is so beautiful it can't be real!"
I had one of those moments this last weekend. The Hubs and I took the Mobile Estate out for it's first long weekend. We were lucky enough to be invited by WSU Laura and her family to join them on the Washington Coast at Ocean Shores. This is their annual camping trip they take to work out all the bugs of the trailer, figure out who has out grown what, and get ready for the camping season here in Washington State. Not to mention it really is a breath taking area. http://www.parks.wa.gov/parkpage.asp?selectedpark=ocean+city We decided to tag along to see what we needed to fix or acquire for the new mobile estate.
The reason we choose this state park is A. If it's not pouring down rain it's close to the beach where the kids and dogs can run and play until they drop. B. The park has full RV hook ups that include water, electric, and sewer. C. It's right by a great little RV Repair shop. If there is a problem, everything you need to for repairs is there. The folks that run this place are so knowledgeable and helpful that it just makes it easy if something goes wrong. D. It's right next to the Quinault Casino, if things get really bad or boring, you can leave the men with the kids and go play stupid games. http://www.quinaultbeachresort.com/

On Thursday and Friday I spent the days cooking and overloading the trailer with every thing I could think of that we might need. It was starting to look like a scene from the movie The Long Long Trailer. Love this movie if you haven't seen it rent it. It's cute and some of Lucille Balls great work.
So Saturday morning we are ready to go! Loaded, dog loaded, and we are off! As soon as we left I started worrying that I hadn't gotten the refrigerator latched tightly. I kept telling The Hubs this was freakin me out. He said there is no way I forgot to do that so let it go. So for 60+ miles I worried that I was going to have to clean up eggs off the floor when we stopped. Our first stop was Cabela's in Lacey. http://www.cabelas.com/ As soon as we were parked I jumped out and checked the trailer. AHHHHH no eggs on the floor! Thank god!

Now off to Cabela's where we meet up with WSU Laura and the family.
Ladies if your significant other is an out doors man this is his Disneyland! If you want to make points with him, go! Don't pass up the chance to stop. Now if you aren't an outdoor woman this will be an overwhelming stop for you. There is lots to see, there are millions of people here, and the guys go crazy as well as the kids. Here is my suggestion for coping at Cabela's. See all the animal and fish displays, walk through the women's things, look at all the house wares items, talk your husband out of the Wide Mouth Bass or shoot gun shell mailbox, then go grab yourself a soda (sorry they only serve Pepsi products which was disappointing to myself. I'm a Diet Coke girl) and sit and watch people until he's is done. There is also the way WSU Laura did it, which is excellent too.........go sit in the car and read. Both ways work great. You can expect to spend about 2 or more hours here. Oh yeah.........Bring money! This place is expensive.

Finally we are done with Cabela's and we head back to the truck and mobil estate. Need to let the dog pee and I'm going to fix myself a Diet Coke. So I go in the trailer open up the fridge and all the eggs fall out on the floor! Charlie and I spent the next 15 minutes cleaning up eggs off the floor. UGH! I guess The Secret is right! If you keep thinking about what you don't want, that's what your going to get!
Mess cleaned up, diet coke poured, dog taken care of and we are back on the road.
The Hubs and I had a wonderful time in the new trailer. It's going to work out great for us. All the conveniences of home, large enough that if it does rain all day your ok staying inside, and it's large enough to have friends over for wine and visiting. WHICH WE LOVE!
We did have to make a trip to North Shore RV Parts and Service buy a new sewer line and going to North Shore RV proved to be very educational for us. We didn't know that certain RV Parks only want you using enzymes in your bathrooms. If that's not what your using you don't get to stay. Totally makes sense but with all the products out there.....who knew? This is good information to have. We are now the proud owners of the Dominator Sewer line and a bag of enzymes! We are prepared for any RV site.
WSU Laura and her family come prepared for the weather. The Hubs and I did not. We spent a lot of time in the Mobile Estate eating and watching movies and being anti social. We did have a "we need to get boots and gortex" conversation.
On Sunday we along with WSU Laura and the family took a road trip up to Pacific Beach to check out where we would be staying over the 4th of July. We will keep you posted on that up coming adventure. WSU Laura and I are planning on a week long stay at the beach, in the trailers, with the kids and dogs. No husbands. We aren't stupid, we have invited the grandmas to join us. I'm not going to lie, I need my mother sometimes. She and her friends did this all the time when I was a kid and I remember it being a blast. Now will my mother have the same recollection? I don't know but I bet she has some great cocktail recipes if things go wrong!
Monday as usual on the last day of the trip the sun came out in the morning long enough for us to walk down to the beach and enjoy a little beach time. It was cold, windy but still gorgeous. On my way down to the beach to meet WSU Laura and her family there was a Bald Eagle sitting on a pile of drift wood just watching everyone on the beach and doing a little hunting. I tried to get a picture of it but you can barley see him in the picture. He's the black speck. It really was a sight. We see Eagles all the time where we live and it's one of those things you never get tired of seeing or don't notice. You can be driving down the road and see one right after another out in a field and you ooooooh and aaaaaah over each one of them every time you see them year after year. They are just such a massive beautiful bird.
Charlie the dog (This is our kid) barked and growled at kites, ran like a crazy dog, played with the kids and dogs. This is just what he needed after a week of being in trouble because of terrorizing Franklin the Wonder Cat, breaking a leash in half and running the neighborhood, then snapping a collar off his neck to also break loose. He slept the whole 3 hour trip home, slept through the night last night and as we speak is still curled up in his bed.
All and all it was a great time and I can't wait to go again. I think if I had my way I would sell the house and just travel in the mobile estate.
