2 MORE DAYS!

Only 2 more days until Swedish Flicka, Friend M and WSU Laura and I leave for the Farm Chicks Antique Show in Spokane Washington. We leave Friday morning bright and early! We are getting there the day before so we are rested, and ready to shop on Saturday morning! Well that, and we wanted to fiddle around on the way over there. Stop off at some antique stores, and where ever else we want along the way.

I'm so excited I can't stand it!
Today I'm going to go get the truck filled with $5 a gallon gas (isn't that ridiculous?) then get it all washed and cleaned out for our 5 + hour trip.
I borrowed a Red Radio Flyer Wagon from my 6 year old niece so it would match and I could haul my freshly laundered LL Bean Boat Totes (monogrammed of course) in it. That way I'll have my hands free while I'm FILLING THEM UP!!!!

Now it's time to figure out what to wear???? As you know it does occasionally rain here in the Pacific Northwest (we got almost 2" of rain yesterday afternoon) so trying to figure out what to wear is sometimes a dilemma. Is it going to be hot or is it going to be cold? Weather forecast for the Spokane area this weekend..........RAIN! That could change in a second in the Eastern part of the state. It could be 90 out as soon as the rain stops. Hard for a girl to be prepared in these conditions.

Guess I'll put away my Stephen Bonanno's and bust out the New Balance or the Dansko for my shopping pleasure. Here in the Northwest it's sometimes more about keeping dry then being all cute. I swear some day I'm moving to a "cute" everyday state!

So today it's all about getting ready to go for Friday morning. I'm usually always behind the eight ball but this time..............I'm going to be ready!

Tonight we are having dinner with The Hubs step brother and his Fiancee. We will be meeting them downtown Seattle for dinner which should be fun. We don't venture out as much as I would like anymore downtown for dinner. I'll let you know how it was.
Have a wonderful day!

Please tell me you are kidding about the $5 gas. I would have thought Snoho would be cheaper, shows what I know.
Now for what to wear, you know that E.WA is usually warm so I would think the rain won't be yucky like rain here. I would recommend "layering" that way you always have the option of strippin' down when the rain stops. As for cute rain shoes, you should totally spoil yourself with some cute wellies or some fabu garden glogs. My girlfriend has a leopard printed clogs she found at Old Navy. Anyway, sounds like you guys are going to have a lot of fun. My last road trip to Spokane involved a Def Leppard concert so it has been a while. Can't wait to see what treasures you find :0)

I'm sooooooooooo not kidding about the gas! It's a diesel truck which we love and when we bought it diesel was the least expensive of the gas. Now it's just crazy insane expensive. I just saw it for $5.12 It's especially ridiculous because diesel is made from the biproducts of gas. It's the hotdogs of the meat packing plant. The left overs off the floor (I hate hotdogs) and to add salt to the wound.........I had some old duffer telling me the other day that after WWII they were giving diesel away because the goverment had such a surplus of it. Can you imagine a surpuls of anything in this country anymore beside Big Macs!
