WTF????
I KNOW!!!
I haven't blogged in a week. I have had e-mails, phone calls, and The Hubs naggin me. Thank you to all of you for asking if everything was OK with me, where I was, and telling me if there was nothing wrong with me GET BUSY!
Let me show you what the problem is

This is the couch in the family room where I plant my ass most days!

This is where the laptop sits. On the ottoman in front of the couch which is also in front of the TV.
This is the view from the couch.
At least there isn't any laundry on the floor. The laundry is done and the rest of the house is some what clean. I could accept guest unexpected and not be embarrassed. I"ll give myself credit for that.
This is the table that holds my Diet Coke right next to the couch
This is freakin Facebook! Also known as Crackbook.
The Devil!

This is the game Bejeweled on Crackbook.
See the bright purple high lighted person on the right? That's my score.........see that I'm in 4th place?

This is the freakin "no blogging" problem!

I cant beat my score or the others on my Facebook that are playing. It's maddening!

I KNOW!!!

I'm sure you sitting there wondering ........
Does The Hubs really put up with this shit of doing nothing all day, all night and just playing Bejeweled?
The answer.............well kind of yes!

When he gets home he gets on the computer upstairs and starts in on Crackbook himself. We both have developed THE PROBLEM. My problem is a bit worse than The Hubs. He at least goes to work during the day and isn't on Facebook all day. Well that I know of. He could be trolling for chicks on Facebook at work. I wouldn't know it.
Hell! I wouldn't know it if he was doing it at home. I'm playing Bejeweled!

I joined a Crackbook Bejeweled Addicted support group and met with the group last Monday at Starbucks. Hoping for a little STOP support.

Here's how that went;

After we established that we all had a problem. I admitted that some days I was so intent and focused on beating their scores that I never showered and sometimes just grabbed The Hubs clean underwear out of the clean pile on the couch and put it on my head to keep my hair out of my face while playing.

Me: I can not beat your scores! I can't even beat my own score. I feel like such a loser. I feel like I'm getting slower not faster.
Are both of you using a mouse at your PC's?

At the very same time they both gave me the same response that was very serious and matter of fact.

Them: Yes, you totally can't use a laptop! You have to use the mouse. You need to get a mouse for your laptop!

Me: Or...... I guess I could get my ass up and walk up stairs!

For a "stopping" support group I don't think this is how the conversation is suppose to go. Isn't this the same as telling a drunk he needs to get better booze?

WSU Laura and Ann Rodriguez...........You guys ...........No help! I'm still meeting for our "support" group on Monday but I now know you're no help for curbing the addition.
Soooooooo that's how that's going...........

I had a blog all written last week, pictures loaded and I didn't post it because it was just too boring. Nothing exciting has been happening around here.

Oh but wait! Here is one thing exciting coming up............

The Hubs and I got invited to a wedding. We have never been to a wedding before as a couple. Well, except ours. This will be fun. It appears to be a theme wedding. Here's the invite.

Isn't this a nice little invite? Someone took a lot of time making theses. We were so honored that this couple would invite The Hubs and I to their special day.
I know!
I didn't know what 81 Support Crew was either!
I thought maybe it was a Rowing Club or something. Maybe we were going to the Yacht Club for a fabulous lovely wedding and reception. We could get all dressed up. I would even stop Bejeweling long enough to buy a new dress. I was so excited!
OH HELL NO! Not The Nuckinfuts!
We don't get invited to those type of functions.

81 Support Crew.....................Hells' Angels!
Yep, that's right The Hubs and I are attending what looks like a Hell's Angel wedding this weekend. I of course am excited. Who would have guessed that I even knew anyone who would be a Supporter. I have in the past known a few Hell's Angels, Banditos, and other various bad ass men but NEVER did I get invited to a wedding.
So I'm trying to think of a fabulous gift. They aren't registered at Macy's (go figure) so I can't take the easy way out. This one I'm going to have to think about.
Any ideas?
I'll try to take pictures and give you a play by play on Monday
Have a great weekend!

We Need A New Mattress!

For the last 3 years that The Hubs and I have been married we haven't had a good nights sleep.

Not because we are newlyweds and are having wild freaky monkey sex. No, no, the problems with not sleeping has just been one problem right after another.

First problem:

The Hubs was waking up 3 or 4 times in the night with Franklin biting at his beard, Charlie walking on him, and itching so hard in the bed we thought we had a vibrating bed. The Hubs was getting woke up as well as getting up with Charlie and Franklin 2 or 3 times a night.

FYI about Timi; Once I go to sleep nothing wakes me up! The house could burn down around me. I have been told I snore, but I don't believe it.

This tidbit of information about me only made The Hubs more ticked off. He was only getting about 2 or 3 hours of sleep a night and needing to go to work. Me..no animals bugging me! I was sleeping through the night with no where to go the next day!

We tried various things to get the animals out of the bedroom. The Hubs decided that just having them in the room was better than the barking, pawing at the door, and meowing that sounded like the coyotes where eating a cat during the night. It just wasn't worth it.

So The Hubs goes to the dentist one day. They are chatting and the dentist says "you need to see a specialist about that not sleeping thing." So after a couple months of Sleep Apnea studies and various doctors..........The Hubs finds out all this time he has had Sleep Apnea! Poor guy.
The animals were waking him up because he's not breathing.

Good Dog! Good Kitty!

We get The Hubs all fixed with his "gear" for night and it was amazing. Everyone was sleeping through the night.

So now everyone is sleeping like babies right?

NO WAY! Not at this house

Problem #2
Now we are both complaining about waking up with various aches and pains. The Hubs various aches and pains usually cured with some Advil.

Me......my feet hurt so bad that I can barley stand in the mornings, not to mention the aching pain at night while trying to go to sleep. This has been a problem for years for me but it's just gotten worse now.

So I go to the podiatrist. Diagnosis, Planter Fasciitis, and 7 bones spurs.

Great! So I change shoes, do a little ice, some stretching on my feet and WAHLAH after about 2 or 3 months no more pain.

All is good right?

WRONG!

Problem #3
We are both still waking up with total body aches.

Convinced it's because the animals get in bed with us and are sleeping on us so that we can't move. That must be it. You know how it is when the dog or cat is sleeping on you and you can't move in the night? You wake up stiff and sore from not being able to move.
So one more time! NO MORE animals in the bed!
(that hasn't worked out that well, it's an on going problem. We are both weak!)

Now that my feet have stopped hurting, now it's my neck and shoulders. I can barley move in the mornings and a girl can't live on Advil.

So I start bitchin on a regular basis that we need new pillows.
We go to Macy's and buy $200 worth of new pillows. We got rid of all our fancy expensive goose down pillows because that's the problem.
RIGHT?

WRONG!
So now I'm bitchin everyday that we need a new mattress. We need a Sleep Number Bed, that's what we need!
That will be the answer to all our problems.
If it helped The Bionic Woman it's going to help me!

The conversation went like this..........

Me: I really think we need to get a new mattress. This is crazy, I can't do this anymore. I'm in total pain in the mornings. I really think we should get a Sleep Number bed. It's the answer to all our sleepless nights.
The Hubs: Those beds are expensive! What you need to do is go to the damn doctor and see what your problem is. Chiropractor, massage therapist, general doctor who ever you think you need to see! You need to go. There is something wrong with you.

Me: Whatever!

So, when I was in my doctors appointment last month I mentioned to her my little aliments. She had me do a couple tests, poked around on my shoulders and neck.
Hooked me up with an MRI the next day.
Really? For real? I don't need an MRI, I need a new damn mattress!

Why doesn't anyone listen to me?

So I go for an MRI, I make an appointment with the specialist and..........

The Hubs looking at my MRI pictures in the specialists office. He was trying to act all official and interested. I'm sure what was going through his mind was.........who is going to cook, wash my underwear, and vacuum?
I have a torn rotator cuff!

Are you freakin kiddin me!

Princess Lazy Ass doesn't do anything! How can this happen?

Apparently I did it last spring while picking up some hanging flower baskets. I remember the popping, and the pain and thinking "that can't be good" I just figured it would mellow out in a few days and be as good as new. Pop a few Advil and all is good.

Just another reason why I shouldn't do yard work! Bad things happen.

Surgery is the only option as it clearly shows in the MRI pictures. I wanted to slap the doctor.

What I really wanted to hear is...............You should buy A fancy Sleep Number Bed and everything will be right in life!

I have never had surgery...ever! I'm freaking out a little bit.

So here is what we have to figure out...................

When do I have 6 months available to have shoulder surgery, heal, recover, and do a little physical therapy???

Who the hell has 6 months to "recover" from surgery on your right shoulder when your right handed? I don't see how this is going to work out.
Surgery will either cut in to our spring and summer camping time or the holidays. Neither are good for me.

So today.................I'm going to the mall to look at Sleep Number Beds. Not only for the house but for the Mobile Estate too! If it's going to be the answer to all my problems I better get all my bases covered.

Thinkin About A Party
And I need Your Help

The Hubs and I are thinking about having a Kentucky Derby Party. Neither of us has ever been to the Kentucky Derby but have a desire to go one day. It just looks like a lot of traditional fun.
Until then...................We will just have to have parties!

Any ideas? Have you had one? What did you do? What did you serve for food?
I have looked on line and just confused myself.
Do you have some tried and true recipes? Do you have Derby traditions?
The Hubs and I want to hear from you

House of B's Randomness

It's been pretty quite around here at The House of B's
Which has been actually kind of nice after the last couple months. I have been slacking on the blogging because of my Bejeweled addiction on Facebook (see February 6th) and the lack of excitement around here.
Here are a few exciting and non-exciting things that have
happened around here.

I got a blog award!

That's pretty damn exciting! Lisa at Coastal Nest honored me with this fantastic award last week (it's the addiction man, I'm behind!) and I need to thank her for it. Shame on me for not acknowledging this sooner.

Sorry Lisa

So what does this award mean?
“These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.”!
Ahhhhhhhh isn't that nice?
It's true I have made some fabulous friends over the last 11 months of blogging and look forward to meeting so many more.
I wasn't sure what one of the words in that description meant so I had to look it up before I could accept this award. It would be just my luck that it would be something that made me look like a complete ass if I didn't.

Aggrandizement:
ag·gran·dize Pronunciation: \ə-ˈgran-ˌdīz also ˈa-grən-\
1 : to make great or greater :
increase , enlarge 2 : to make appear great or greater : praise highly 3 : to enhance the power, wealth, position, or reputation of
— ag·gran·dize·ment
\ə-ˈgran-dəz-mənt, -ˌdīz- also ˌa-grən-ˈdīz-\ noun
— ag·gran·diz·er
\ə-ˈgran-ˌdī-zər also ˈa-grən-\ noun

That word makes me a little nervous.

What the hell?

I'm going with it!

Thank you again Lisa! I'm very honored.

Now for my bloggin buddies I would like to pass this on to

A Thing For Roses

Maison Douce

Auntie Joy

La Te Da

Tres Birds

Hearts of Hartman

Royal Touch

A Dozen Eggs

Dot Dot Dot

Thank you ladies!

Donna and I took a beginning sewing class this last weekend. It was held at the Needle & I in Everett. I can't say enough nice things about the ladies of the Needle & I. We loved every part of the class experience here. Preparing us for class, making sure we had everything we needed, and the class instructor was

FANTASTIC!

We will for sure be taking more classes from these ladies.

Me doing a little sewing.

Here is a little recap of how my class went;

Shit, I don't have enough fabric

Shit, was that suppose to go like that

Shit, I sewed the wrong sides together

Shit, I need a seam ripper

Shit, this doesn't look right

Here's Donna cutting out her cuffs on her fancy pajama pants she was making.

Here is a recap on how the class went for Donna;

Oh shoot! I wasn't suppose to cut that

Oh shoot! The birds aren't going to go the right way

Oh shoot! I think I sewed this wrong

Oh shoot! That is going to look weird. Oh, well I guess the cat won't care.

All and all we had a great time. We could have sat there and sewed longer. It was fun to chat with the other ladies, and just get to sit and visit for a few hours. Not to mention..............We are learning to sew!

Class II is this next Saturday.

Next

I bought a ham this last week and it was very good. We ate on it all week.

I had a little bit left and The Hubs wanted navy beans and ham for dinner.

I think my mom makes the best navy beans and ham ever so I called for the recipe.

I was told there is no recipe, only how she puts it together.

It was so dang good I thought I would share it with you.

Cook your navy beans as directed on package or........use precooked canned.

This Martha Stewart cast iron pot is the best thing I ever bought! I love it and use it more than I thought I would. Also this aqua color makes all food look fantastic.

After your beans have cooked (don't drain them, this is why you have to wash them good and clean out the rocks before you start) chop an onion and throw in.

Chop some carrots

Chop some celery and throw that in tooEvery thing goes in!While the veggies are cooking a little, I chopped up my ham.

My mother told me using ham that has a bone and simmering the bone and remaining meat with the veggies is waaaay moooore better. But I didn't have that so this is what I used.Everyone in the pool to simmer some more. Add a little salt and pepper

The key is to not over cook your beans. When you cook them first, cook them so they are almost done. You should be able to eat it but it should taste and feel like it needs to cook longer.

As the beans cook they will thicken the soup. I let it simmer about 2 hours. Stirring often.

Then for the secret ingredient......
About 2 or 3 Tablespoons of Heinz Ketchup. Let is simmer a little longer, add more salt and pepper to taste.

It was fantastic!
That's all I have for you today. I'll have to work on getting a little excitement going on around here.
Have a wonderful day!

Hope you have
a wonderful day with your loved ones

I'm hoping for one of these today.

I know!
It's a long shot but I do love these little boxes. What girl doesn't? What do you have planned for today?
My gift to The Hubs will be some fresh baked scones this morning to have with his coffee when he gets up, I took the dog out at 4 am (not my job at the time of the day) and..........his big gift.............I'm leaving him alone for a few hours today.
That's right! No ridding his ass, no nagging, just silence.
Yeah, I might pick up one of those heart shaped pizzas from Papa Murphy's that he loves too.
This picture just made me chuckle
I'm going to a beginning sewing class today. The class is offered by

The Needle & I which is a fantastic place if you have never been there. They have the most unique classes, lovely fabric and well.......the ladies down there are just super nice.

I'm going to try and remember to take some pictures to share with you.

Did anyone see David Letterman last night with Martha Stewart?

This just made me laugh.

You can see clips and read some of his monologue on this website. It had me laughing last night. I love the part where David Letterman said "if she feeds me a bad oyster, I will spend the rest of my life trying to put her out of business!" I don't know why, but it just cracked me up.

Have a wonderful love filled day!

Oregon Bloggers Party

Hey! Remember I said The Hubs and I were on our way to Oregon?

Well, we had a fun whirl wind weekend. It was suppose to also be Bejeweled Blitz Rehab for me which worked fantastic. Until we got home. That's a whole other blog posting. I got the problem!
So anyway..............

We took of down to Silverton and Salem Oregon to stop in at The Blogger Party , see some family, and do a little tax free shopping.

I didn't get very good pictures of the blog party. I was talking, admiring Joy's house, and well.........talking. So please click on the links to the other bloggers that were there to see more pictures.

Isabel, Joy, and Lisa
These are the 3 lovely ladies who put this shin-dig on. They have some great shows coming up. If you should be lucky enough to be in the show neighborhood or don't mind doing a little traveling (great girls trip) you should check out their fabulous items and introduce yourself.
This is Queen Lisa. She was my very first BBF from Oregon. We met at
The Farms Chicks Show last year.

The Barn House gang and Queen of Tarte. They will be at Sand Point (a convention destination in Washington) in March. I can't wait for that show. It should be a good one.
The blog party had nummy treats, a fabulous guest list and best of all.....everyone was crafting these lovely crowns. They were made out of chicken wire and anything fun you could find to glue on them. There were some lovely crowns being made.

Joy's cute shop. She has very fun stuff, reasonably priced, and well........she's just fun to visit with. If your ever in Silverton don't miss this stop.

Busy crown makers

I was admiring Joy's displays hanging up high. Loved the aprons pinned up around the ceiling.

Visiting and more crown making

More bad photography by Timi
This was so fun to meet all these ladies. The Hubs even talked about what a fun time it was and how interesting it is that such fabulousness can be made from what most would call junk.
After the party we surprised my 87 year old Grandmother with taking her to dinner. Then we met The Hubs step brother for cocktails. We wanted to see him before he is deployed to Iraq next month. He will be missed.
Sunday we did a little shopping, pigged out at Sonic, and made our way home.
It was a fun weekend!
So Washington Bloggers................let's have a party!
Send me your thoughts of where and when.

Back To Our
Regularly Scheduled Non-Sense

First off..................
If you don't know about this already, you need to know about it now.
Joy is having a blog party this weekend in Silverton. She along with Lisa and Isabel are hosting this a party. I frankly think it's a fantastic idea and we ladies in Washington should try to organize something similar.

I'm planning on going down to this fabulous little shin-dig.
The Hubs and I are going to take off for a little weekend road trip. I know it's a girls party and I shouldn't drag him down there but you know what? We need to get away from the house for a couple days. Especially him. He's been working hard. He can go to Sportsman Emporium, Cabela's, and Sportsman Warehouse while we are down there. Not to mention I promised him a trip to The Sonic ,so he's all excited to go now.
I'll report back on Monday with pictures and stories. It's going to be fun.
Hope you can make it.

Now Back To The
Non Sense of The House of B's
I know I know I know! I have been absent for the last week from blogland.
Your asking Why? Where have you been? What have you been doing?
Well I'm embarrassed to tell ya!
Dr. Phil says you can't fix what you don't acknowledge right?

These are pictures of an addict in the making.
Piled up mail, counters filled with junk and a sink full of dishes that have been there for days.
The house is a mess and I have stayed up 24 hours feeding my addiction a couple days this last week.

I started out hiding my addiction from The Hubs, but he has now discovered what the problem is around here. He was disgusted!

Hi my name is Timi and I'm addicted to FACEBOOK!
I signed up for Facebook last May but never really got in to it. Then when the snow hit over the holidays I started getting a lot of activity and I got more in to it. I guess everyone else was bored too. It was fun and something different to do. I have been reconnected with lots of old grade school and high school friends. I had an old friend that I picked strawberries with when I was in the 4th or 5th grade find me. How fun is that?
I even got The Hubs hooked on Facebook during the snow. I mean really whats the best way to make yourself feel better about an addiction?
Get others hooked so they can't look down on you!
The snow melted, holidays were over, and things kind of died down. People went back to work and their regular lives. I got some stuff done around here.
THEN.................Laura, and Ann sent me Bejeweled Blitz.
Which is a fun little computer game to play. Well it got ugly.
It's a little competition with your friends on Facebook who are playing also.
I started playing this stupid game and ended up sitting up for 24 hours playing Bejeweled Blitz trying to beat Laura and Ann's scores. It never happened. I was still sitting in the same chair, in the same clothes, doing the same thing at
3:30 am when The Hubs got up to go to work.
I slept for a little while and was back at it again!
The Hubs was all disgusted with me with, so what did I do............
I got him addicted too!
So it's been 3 days of us both Bejeweling and us getting nothing done.
I got a message from Laurie Ann yesterday that said "why don't you get off Facebook and blog!"
Talk about an intervention!
Last night another friend posted on Facebook after I admitted my problem........Wow, you don't have a life and you suck at the game!
So today..............I'm on day ONE of Bejeweled sobriety.
If you sign up for Facebook or you are already on Facebook please let me know. I'll add you as a friend and get you addicted too!
It'll be fun!

Here are a couple things I managed to tear myself away from Bejeweled for.
The Hubs and I had Princess Spoiled Brat over the weekend last week. While she was here I decided that we would have a Princess Spoiled Brat Birthday Week Kick Off Party. Her birthday is this weekend and we won't be here so like a good over indulging Aunt we had a party here.
In attendance at this party was Princess Spoiled Brat's camping buddies. The kids that we go camping with but she doesn't see during the winter months very much. Since camping season is right around the corner this was a good time for them to get to know each other again.
The WSU Boys and The Gotthiershittogether Girls were invited.
It started out at The Ceramic Place for a little pottery painting. Which was a huge hit with the girls. The boys had a good time, painted and were ready to go in about an hour. The girls could have stayed 2 or 3 hours. The boys aren't in the picture because they couldn't take it any more. WSU Hubs came and picked them up and took them to the next stop.
Donna joined us too. It was fun and I highly recommend this for a fun girls day out or party of some sort.

The moms had a good time too.
Then it was off to Alfy's Pizza for a little dinner and fun.

The Hubs got some Rapper teeth that look great on him!

Because Princess Spoiled Brat is a spoiled brat, I decided that there would not be a gift giving party for her. In fact I didn't tell anyone it was her birthday. We just called for a get together. When Princess Spoiled Brat got to our house I told her the plan. It was going to be a reverse surprise party! We would surprise our guests with it being her birthday and they were would be the one's getting gifts. So Saturday morning we baked cupcakes, she decorated them and we went to town to get some gifts for our guests. I gave her $20 and turned her loose in the Dollar Store.

For those of you with kids I'm sure you have done this. For those of you with no kids..........this is a hoot to turn a 6 year old loose in a $1 store with $20. They know everything is a dollar, they know they have $20 to spend. She made a list of who she needed to buy for and crossed them off as she went. Then kept counting to make sure she didn't go over her budget.

It was a lot of fun and she did a great job shopping for everyone.

WSU Laura looks like I just said something I wasn't suppose to in front of the WSU Hubs. That's probably what happen, I sometimes can't keep my mouth shut.
Or.........it could have been because I snapped the picture while she was eating. People love that when you do that.

WSU Laura and I taking pictures of each other.
A cute family picture of The Gotthiershittogether Family. We love them! We think they are one of the nicest family ever!

Princess Spoiled Brat the morning after. She's suffering from a fun hangover.
It was a fantastic time. We can't wait for camping season to start.
So while I was acting like a crack addict, The Hubs was getting a little work done around here. That's right! The bathroom
The tile is all down and sealed. It looks fabulous. I think he did a great job for someone who has never done this before.
The new toilet in..........and working!

The dining room light in the bathroom, my thrift store mirror painted and my garage sale sink. I'm happy with the out come.
Now it's time to decorate! The Hubs still has to hook up the sink, and put the trim in but that's it. It's almost ready to receive guests.
Now your caught up on what's been goin on at The House of B's.
Stay tuned........I'll be back next week.
I promise!
