THANK YOU!

WOW! Not only did I reach my Feedjit goal of 4000 visits, get a new pair of Dansko shoes that I have been pining over for years, but I got an award too? How can a girl be so lucky in one week?

What can I say other then Thank you! I was given this fantastic award by WSU Laura. I 'm honored and humbled by such an award. I would never have guessed 5 months ago that anyone would read my blog let alone give me an award for it. I know I have said this before with other awards received but it's still true. I never really believe it when I receive an award. AGAIN THANK YOU!

Here are the rules that go along with this award...
1. Put the logo on your blog.
2. Add a link to the person who awarded it to you. WSU Laura
3. Nominate at least 4 (or as many as you like) other blogs.
The Barn House
Branderella
Tres Birds
Ramblings of a Soccer Mom
4. Add links to these blogs on your blog.
5. Leave a message for your nominee on their blog.
So go enjoy these blogs as much as I do. Thanks WSU Laura for thinking of me. I really appreciate it.

It's Sunday morning and The Hubs and I are having a little coffee and tea trying to decided if we should get busy with some projects around here or just blow it off and go do something fun. You know I'm leaning towards blowing it off!

I'll let you know the out come later!

WE HAVE A WINNER!

Since I didn't get a party last night when my Feedjit counter reached 4000 I decided to treat myself to a little somethin somethin this morning while I was doing THE WINNER posting.
A cup of tea from Seattle TeaCup. Flavor La Belle Helene A bagel from Panera Bakery Flavor French Toast Slathered with Brummel and Brown. Not healthy but at The Houses of B's we usually worry about health when we can't get our pants buttoned, or we have stuffed ourselves silly with something really nummy. We aren't as health conscious as we should be.

Now for the drawing!

Isebel at Masion Douce is the winner of the Chocolate-Tini glass by Lolita

Congratulations Isebel! E-mail me with your address and I'll get it sent out to you.

Thank you everyone who participated. It was fun! Watch for more Give Aways and Contests from me. I love to do them!

As I was getting ready for the drawing this morning I thought. These are a couple things I can't live without and I'm going to share them with my bloggin buddies this morning.

This is one of my many Forlife tea making products. I own the cups and a teapot. I love them both. I have other tea cups that have the infuser in them but they just don't work as well as this one does. I love that I can put my loose leaf tea in, let it steep, and just lift it out when it's ready. The holes in the infuser aren't too big so the tea doesn't fall out in to the bottom of my cup. You also don't have metal so you won't burn your fingers when trying to remove the infuser. It also makes it super easy to use again for a second cup.

A couple years ago after watching Dr. Oz I gave up using margarine and went to strictly butter when needing to use a butter of some sort when cooking. I couldn't' give up the Brummel and Brown however. I love this stuff on breads. I don't use it for anything else other then slathering on breads when it's needed .

Well that's it for today. I need to get busy!

Have a wonderful day

WE DID IT!!!!

Last night at 9:15 pm my Feedjit counter turned over 4000!

I don't know why this is so exciting to me but it really is. I've been on pins and needles all week waiting. It was a lot like when my old car turned over 100,000 miles. I watched that odometer like a hawk, waiting to see where I was and what time it was when it rolled over 100,000 miles. I guess I thought something fun would happen, confetti would start flying with balloons. It never happened. I was going down the highway and not a damn thing happen. I called The Hubs to tell him. His reaction "Shit! " "Really?" "We need to get rid of that thing!" Not sure what reaction I was hoping for but that wasn't it!

So last night while bawling like a little baby watching ( I cry all the time watching TV, I'm crying right now watching Ann Curry's ancestor story) America's Got Talent and keeping an eye on my Feedjit line it happened! 4000 on the counter was reached. I turned to The Hubs and said "Oh my god!" "It happened!" He looked at me and said "Uhmmmm, that's good" Again not the exact reaction I was hoping for. I thought maybe he would have balloons, roses, and a cake ready for me. He would jump up, run to the kitchen and produce a big party. Again............Not a damn thing happen!

It was fun this last week watching how people got to my blog. Which blogs they came through, which old postings they found me through and who referred them. I had a lot of fun doing this. Thank you everyone who participated.

As soon as I'm done with this posting(and the sun comes up so I can take some pictures) I'm going to get all the names together and draw the lucky winner. Stay tuned!

***An Update on Annie's Antique Sale***
Annie Thank you for putting on a great sale! Annie's on 2nd is closing in September. She still has lots of great things on sale. If you couldn't make the sale stop in Tuesday - Sunday and check her stuff out.

First just let me apologize for not taking any pictures. I was busier then a one armed paper hanger! I totally forgot to take pictures in the morning and through out the day. I would like to give a shout out to WSU Laura for coming and saving the day! Had she not showed up to help me unpack and set up ...........I would have been screwed! THANK YOU!!
I thought 2 hours would be plenty of time. NOT! I had so much crap....oops.....I mean really cool stuff that it took forever to unpack and set up. The Hubs and I rolled up with a truck and utility trailer full. All these other ladies (who knew what they were doing) rolled up in mini vans, SUV's and small trucks unloaded and were ready to rock and roll! Ooooooooooooh no, not the Nuckinfuts! We looked like the Beverly Hillbilly's rollin. Then after we unloaded, The Hubs went home to get another small load! Yeah, that's right we couldn't get everything in the first load in the truck and utility trailer.
I sold alot of my stuff and all an all I had a really good day. It was hotter then blazes out on that black top all day. I came home (Yes, it turns out I am a Hillbilly)sunburned, tired, dirty, tired and starving. Did I mention tired? BUT......I would do it again in a second! I met some really nice people, chatted with some new friends, saw some old friends and learned that those fancy beautiful shows you go to are more work then you can ever imagine. I have a whole new appreciation for antique and farm shows now. It was fun and I would love to do it again!

Remember all those pictures of my messes? Posted August 13th with the title High Maintenance, Fakebusy Master or Just A Great Procrastinator?
Well this week I am no longer any of those things! I have all of my messes all most COMPLETELY cleaned up. I will post some pictures later to prove it. I know y'all don't believe me!
Well it's true, Yeah, that's right, cleaned up, thrown out, given away and anything that resembled antique, shabby chic, Paris apartment or sellable went to this sale. I sold a lot of things but now with an up coming 3 day weekend The Hubs and I decided we needed to just finish off cleaning out all those rooms and the garage and end it with a garage sale. Then we are done! We can start some new messes! Oprah Light Bulb Moment for The Hubs.........with all my stuff cleaned out and gone or boxed up in a small space in the garage.........The Hubs realizes everything he has been tripping over and complaining about wasn't all mine. He's been out cleaning all morning, going through boxes (yes, the ones with 4 different Navy moving stickers on them) and cleaning out. I'm so proud of him! I might just do a little somethin somethin nice for him!
We are off to the Evergreen State Fair this afternoon (weather permitting) with Princess Spoiled Brat. I'm looking forward to doing a little bit of nothing the rest of the day.
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Annie's Porch & Parking Lot Sale
Saturday August 23rd
9 am - 5 pm

This weekend is the annual Porch & Parking Lot sale at Annie's in Snohomish!

I know, I know, I know, I talk about Annie's all the time. It's because I love her stores so much. She and those ladies who sell at her store on 2nd Street just have an eye for fabulousness.

This weekend is the mother of all sales!

This is the one and only Saturday that Annie opens up the parking lot ( you will have to park up the side streets) to all her friends to set up shop. It's a mini flea market! Prices are good and the selection is always really good. This will be my first sale I have ever participated in of this kind. I'm usually a buyer but this time I'm selling. I was so inspired by the Farm Chicks, A Thing For Roses, and La Te Da Love (to name just a few) that I decided to see if I could do it.

There are lots of other great little shops, antique malls and fabulous lunch spots in Snohomish . Stop at Annie's first, you won't find any better bargains in Snohomish then move on to the other shops. There are really some great stops that I have written about in the past that make going to Snohomish a full day of fun and shopping.

New since my last post about Snohomish;
Faded Elegance is now in Snohomish
Haleys

There are also lots of other little antique malls. You can't go wrong with a day trip to Snohomish.

The weather is suppose to be nice only on Saturday here in the Pacific Northwest so load up the car with your best girl friends, sisters, mothers, husbands, boyfriends, partners, or.............who ever you can find to come with you to Snohomish. You won't be disappointed.

Don't forget to enter

See you there!

WOW!
This is what I'm talkin about people!

This last weekend I got a message from Annie at Annie's Antiques in Snohomish that she had something for me and the next time I'm in town stop by.

Well, if you have never been to Annie's you don't know that she has the coolest stuff in the world at her little stores. Her calling me and saying to "stop by, she has something for me" isn't a normal everyday thing. Of course I was excited, curious, and nervous. All the same emotions I have always imagined I would have if Mike Rowe or Guy Fietti picked me for a game of spin the bottle!

Mike Rowe after playing spin the bottle with me!

Guy Fieri after playing spin the bottle with me

Shoot, I'm sorry...............totally off track on my story here.............................. They do that to me!

Anyway.............Annie called, I was excited so of course I came up with some excuse why I needed to run down there right away. I decided that chatting with her about her Porch and Parking Lot Sale coming up on Saturday Aug 23rd would be an excellent excuse.

So I get to her shop and she hands me an envelope that has my name on it. Whatever in the world could it be? Before I open it she tells me that a woman named Gayle came in to her store and gave her this and asked that she give it to me. WOW! REALLY???? ME??? This shit doesn't happen to me!

Apparently Gayle and her daughter Sydney read my blog on a regular basis and she wanted to give me a little something. Look what was in my envelope

Is this not the cutest thing you have ever seen? I was so excited and over come with gratitude that I couldn't speak. I know, that's a first! I was tearing up while reading it in the car. The Hubs was like "what the hell?" "give that to me I can't understand what your saying!"

My initial............You know I'm obsessed with monograms around here.

The back has this cute little flower basket. Sorry my pictures sucks! Bad pictures are my thing you know

THANK YOU GAYLE AND SYDNEY!!

You have no idea how much this means to me. I'm so glad you enjoy reading about whats happening here in my little world. I don't think it's all that exciting but some days I just have to share because something funny, ironic, or annoying happened. And I figure if it's cracking me up or pissin me off it might do the same for you. Gayle and Sydney e-mail me! Agirlnamedtimi@hotmail.com

Oh wait.................I'm not done!

The Hubs and I as you may remember from last weeks posts, are cleaning up messes around here and getting rid of stuff. I posted on Craigslist some old white vintage picket fence sections that I had been hoarding, thinking I would do something fabulous with them. Don't you love Craigslist?

Yesterday this very nice woman came to pick them up and we got to chatting and...........She (Trish) IS SO GOING TO BE ONE OF MY NEW BFF's!! She too is a junker, Farm Chick, Smart mouth, very creative Diva and I totally enjoyed meeting her! Of course as soon as she left I had to log on to her blog and see what she was all about. Check her out! Trish at La Te Da Love . She also sells her fabulous items under Wild Whimsy . Check her out when you have some time. It totally made my day to chat with her yesterday so Trish if your reading.............It was nice meeting you, can't wait to do some junkin together.

In my last post for My Give Away I mentioned, that I have met some great people and it's totally changed my life since blogging. These two latest experiences are examples of EXACTLY WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT!

Keep On Bloggin!

Have a great day

A Give Away!
Hi Everyone!

I started blogging on March 17th, and can't believe how much fun it has been, and how many great people I have met. I would have never guessed in a million years how much blogging would change my life!
It always amazes me how many people stop by each day to check out what I have been up to. They come from all over the US and the World. It's so much fun to watch that Feedjit feed to see what comes up next. It drives The Hubs nuts that I watch it all the time.

Me: "Hey someone from (insert your town and state here) looked at my blog today!"

The Hubs: "Really? That's great Honey" He goes back to reading or watching TV

You know damn well he's not listening and doesn't care!

WELL I CARE!
So in honor of my 5 month blogiversary and my new super cool "Cool Chick Club" button, I'm going to do a Give Away. Yeah, I should have waited until September for 6 months, but I was just too excited! Have you seen my new button? Shabbee Chick Designs made it for me and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Amber does such a great job. If you haven't checked out her blog, website or had her make your blog spiffy, you should really treat yourself by paying her a visit!

Maybe I'll do something again for my 6 months Blogiversary!

How Is My Cleaning Going?
I was feeling super bad about all the messes and neglect going on around here at The House of B's. As you could tell from my last post. Oh yes, I have been working on it. It's getting there. Pictures to soon follow.
Franklin (The Wonder Cat) decided to help me out in cleaning.

Can you guess why he looks like he just had sex and needs a smoke?

Need I say more? I just keep telling myself "He brought it in from OUTSIDE!" "It didn't come from inside the house!"

I'm sooooooooo getting new carpet!

You ask "why in the hell would she have pictures of that?"

"Did she take them just for the blog?"

"She really does have a problem!"

No, I took them because The Hubs didn't believe me. PROOF that I can't make this shit up!

Have a great Saturday!

High Maintenance, Fakebusy Master
or Just A Great Procrastinator?

A late post to follow up this last weekend. Tardy, behind, neglected, and plain old blowing it off seems to be the theme of my blog posts lately.
With all the road trips in the month of July and other side activities The House of B's has been a bit neglected. Well a lot neglected. The shower is broke, the kitchen sink drips, the dishwasher isn't working right yet, floors need to be vacuumed, sheets changed, the weeds have taken over, and the yard has almost grown high enough we could probably get some livestock. So this weekend The Hubs and I decided we would just stay home and try to get caught up a little. As you can see from my last post Friday was super busy.
On Saturday...............well this is where it kind of goes haywire with getting stuff done.

Saturday morning The Hubs (Gun Geek) had planned on going to the Gun Show with our friend (Gun Geek 2) Tony. They were just going to be gone an hour or so, then The Hubs was going to come straight home. The plan was we would get busy trying to get caught up. My plan was to get busy while he was gone. Well.................I decided to "just start" my blog posting with Friday's events because I didn't want to forget anything. I sat and typed, drank Diet Coke, ate Whore's breakfast, and typed some more.

After about an hour an half or more I thought "oh shoot, I better get busy before The Hubs gets here." I decided to start with stripping our bed of sheets and putting on fresh. So that's what I did, but then I thought "if I have clean sheets and duvet cover on the bed I better give Charlie a bath". I got Charlie and fired up the shower. Oh, the hand held sprayer won't work, OK, no problem I'll go to the tub. I move Charlie and all his shower gear in to the tub. WRONG! What a mess! Charlie apparently hates the tub. He wouldn't hold still, he kept jumping out every time I tried to fill the pitcher with water to rinse him. It was a nightmare. I was soaking wet, the bathroom was now soaking wet. The dog...........half ass washed! This just set me off and my head started spinning. Nothing works around here, you can't find anything when you want to fix something, hang something,or do anything. We are so unorganized and such huge procrastinators that it's a mess here! I'm pissed off!

So The Hubs comes home and before he can get his new purchases sat down (oh yeah, he wasn't going to buy anything at the gun show) I started in on him

Me; "we need to talk, sit down!"

Me ;"I'm sick of all this shit laying around, stuff not working, and nothing ever getting done around here!

Me; "Now I realize all the piles of shit laying around on all the tables is mine, and that garage full of shit is mine too, and the two bedrooms full of junk is mine too but...........I'm sick of it!"

Me; "I can't get anything done because I'm up to my eyeballs in shit!!" "When stuff breaks around here you don't fix it!" "It just stays broke and it annoys the hell out of me!" "the shit piles are bad enough, but when things break around here and don't get fixed........it pisses me off even more!"

Now The Hubs is sitting there staring at me smirking and trying not to laugh.

Me;"don't laugh, I'm sick of it!" "I'm going to start throwing stuff out and fixing things and if you don't like how it's getting done then I suggest you do it yourself!"

The Hubs; "OK, what do you want me to do?" "where would you like me to start?"

Me; "I don't know, there is so much to do

The Hubs; " I can't help if you don't tell me what you want done first"

Me: " I have so much to do, I don't know where to start and I don't want to look at it. I want to leave!"

The Hubs; "you want to leave me and the house or just leave the house?"

Me; "I want you to go to Whidbey Island with me to The Arts and Craft Festival in Coupeville

The Hubs; "OK, whatever" " that will help a lot"

Me; "I know but I can't deal with all this shit right now!"

So we loaded up Charlie and headed to Coupeville! Now we didn't take the shortest route there because the ferry was a 90 minute wait. I figured we could drive up and around faster then that. As you look at the map we didn't start in Mukilteo we drove North up I-5 to Burlington and cut over west on HWY 20. Yeah it's a long ass drive!

Well we got as far as Burlington and it started pouring down rain. The dark clouds just got blacker as you looked west. So we decided not to waste our trip up there. We just went to my parents house. We hadn't been there since they started remodeling and we wanted to see how it was going. So we visited with them, looked at their (HUGE FREAKIN MESS) project, drank some beer, went to dinner and returned home about 10:30 pm.

Another day SHOT TO HELL!

Sunday................It started out good. I got the laundry done, vacuumed, and got a few things listed on EBay. That's when I decided I really wanted to try going to Coupeville again to The Arts and Crafts Festival. So I said to The Hubs.....can we try going to Coupeville again today. He said "sure"

So we loaded up Charlie again and off we went

This is The Hubs "are you kidding me look" Given to me when I said "let me get you and Charlie for a picture on my blog"

This is a shot out the window on our way over Deception Pass. This is a long , very high bridge that connects Fidalgo Island to Whidbey Island. If you have never been here, this is another MUST see destination when visiting the Pacific Northwest. It's really stunning.

Another out the window shot. You ask "why didn't she pull over and get us better pictures?" Because my photo taking skills suck, we were too lazy, and I had an Arts and Crafts Fair to get to!

Another display of my fantastic photography skills. This was another looking out over the water picture.Top Picture is out the truck window of the entrance to NAS Whidbey .
The picture below is one The Hubs sent me to use for my blog. He couldn't believe I would use such a bad picture on such fantastic sight. OK, whatever! Apparently he hasn't met me. I like junk, flowers, food and shopping!
The one on the left is an A-6E Intruder, a Medium Attack aircraft; on the right is an EA-6B Prowler which is an Electronic Countermeasure (Jammer) aircraft. This is where The Hubs did his last duty station in his 21 year US Navy career. He gets all nostalgic on me when he comes to Oak Harbor. Me ,I can't wait to get the hell out of there. There AIN'T NOTHIN I NEED IN OAK HARBOR! It's a lovely place to visit, a better place to be from! Sorry all of you who might be reading from Oak Harbor! It's just my opinion which doesn't really mean shit.

We finally get to Coupeville, to the Arts and Crafts Festival. We start walking toward the rows and rows of white tents. THEN..........the sun came out, the birds started singing, and music started playing. There it was...........The MA Graphics booth! Yes, folks it's true. I made The Hubs drive my high maintenance ass all the way to Coupeville so I could decided what t-shirt and sweatshirt to get. I have several MA Graphics sweatshirts and t-shirts and I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM! I wanted one of their new designs but I just couldn't decided when trying to order it on line. I had been trying to get to one of the shows they were doing (by suggesting a camping trip to the town they were in or going to a show a little closer to home)so I could look at all the new designs, touch them, see them, and then decide. I'm not the best on line shopper. I like to touch stuff before I buy it.
So here are my choices. I'm so excited about them. If you haven't seen any of MA Graphics items please go check them out. They have the best designs. They are fun, colorful, and best of all.........they are all on great quality garments! You won't be disappointed. Tell Marie and Julie that you read about them on my blog. I don't think it will get you a discount, but I know they would love to hear from you. Marie and Julie are great, some of the nicest funniest ladies you will ever met. I love them!

So after I got my MA Graphics purchase and ran through the rest of the festival we went to the food part to get a little bit. The Hubs found a great little BBQ place called Columbia Beach Barbecue. They were fantastic! We had the best BBQ Tri Tip French Dip Sandwich. As we were sitting there eating Charlie laid down in the dirt at my feet. Apparently he doesn't read my blog! I hate dirt! AND..........I just gave him a bath!

Here is yet more displays of my poor photography skills. This is on the ferry on the way home. Above...passing ferry Below....leaving the Clinton Dock

More pictures out of the truck window on the ferry. As a ex-professional ferry rider (I use to ride it every morning to work) I have no desire to hassle with getting out of the car, going up stairs to the top deck and looking at the view for some photos. I'm fine watching it from the truck.
Trust me, my pictures from the top deck would have been just as good as they are from the front seat of the truck!

So I ask you ...........
High Maintenance, Master of Fakebusy, or Just a great Procrastinator????

So now I'm going to show you my messes! What has me all fired up.
I have never shown these to anyone!

The pictures you are about to see are shocking, appalling, and horrifying. Please don't let your children see these! If you would like to pass them on to Clean House or any other HELP show on TV please do so. These pictures also require little explanation with them.

I thought if I showed all of my messes to you then I would be SUPER motivated to get them all cleaned up. Now I HAVE to get projects finished, throw stuff out, get organized and clean! So for the next few days (OK weeks probably) I'm going to be working on cleaning all this stuff up. Not looking for other things to do so I can avoid these messes more easily. This means no blogging, no shopping, no lunch with the girls, no more fun! I have to get this all cleaned up!

Dining Room full of material. It's everywhere! This is a project I'm working on that you will soon see. It's going to be fabulous!

More dining room mess. It's now creeped in to the living room. We don't have one table in the house we can sit at! They are all covered with CRAP!

Below is our guest room. It's a nightmare!

We couldn't have guests if we wanted to

Extra bed room.........I usually keep the door closed and let NO ONE in there. Not even my own husband or mother!

It's all going to go!!!

Garage mess. This isn't all mine but the majority of it is.

Below is the sun room mess. This is stuff that came from my parents house and now I need to figure out what to do with it.

This is the entry way to the front door. These boxes have been in front of the door for going on 3 weeks now. At Home America stuff I ordered. Must not have really needed it if it's still sitting there. THAT SUCKS! In so many different ways it's so wrong and sucks!

OK let the games begin! I'm off to clean up these messes!

Do you have a mess your ashamed of? Let's see it!

WOW! What a busy weekend a the House of B’s

I’m settled in and ready to write. This is going to be a long one people, so you should get your favorite beverage and treat and get comfortable.
I needed a little something to sustain me while writing this long-winded blog as to not leave out one detail. So this morning’s blogging required the super food, the best breakfast in the world. That’s right……..Whore’s breakfast! A piece of cold pizza and a diet coke! Oh don’t act all appalled! You all know you have enjoyed this on a less than glamorous morning...after a night of fun and foolishness. I too have enjoyed a piece of cold pizza and a diet coke early in the morning on the "drive of shame" home after foolishness. Which is why I like to call it…………Whore’s breakfast. Some how that cold piece of pizza and diet coke seems to take away some of the shame. Anyway………….this subject really could be an entire blog posting all by itself.

This fabulous pizza is from The North Lake Tavern. Some of the finest pizza in the Seattle area. If you are ever here visiting and love pizza this is a must stop!

First off I have to give a shout out to an old friend but new reader Maggie. She is reading my blog from the local hospital psyche ward! How ironic is that? The Nuckinfuts have a reader on the Psyche ward! LOVE IT! Thanks Maggie for letting me know you're reading.

**UPDATE **** Maggie isn't a patient on the Psych Ward, she just works there and then gets to leave on her own when ever she wants to. Sorry Maggie I wasn't clear on that in the original post. MY BAD!

As you know, on Fridays I love to go garage sales or thrift stores. This Friday was Donna’s birthday and for her birthday she wanted to go to thrift stores. Well, we didn’t make it to thrift stores but we did make it to some fantastic garage sales.
We were only able to go for half a day because she needed to get home early for birthday festivities with her family, and I needed to get home and get ready to head to Burlington for my 25th class reunion.

Donna and I were off and shopping at 8 am! We didn’t make it very far to our first garage sale. It was right up the road from my house. This woman had TONS of fabulousness. She was an artist and was cleaning out. This seemed to have set the tone for the rest of the day because all the other sales we went to were crafters getting rid of their finished items and surplus of supplies. If I was creative, it would have been the mother load of garage sale days.
Here are some of fabulous finds for the day.

Cute little green pottery vase

I love little dog figurines. Especially if they are Fox Terriers These were a steal!

These are handmade wool seat pads. The woman I bought them from said her mother made them in the 50's. They are in perfect condition.

I got these 3 cute little figurines from the same woman. She said her mother made these also. They are dated 1962

This beautiful lead crystal candle abra is dirty but with a little elbow grease it will be lovely!

I love old oil paintings done by amature painters. This is a really beautiful oil of Lilacs. The frame is gorgeous. The other frame I found was just a must have. No plan for it...just liked it.

This was the find I was really excited about. Brand new in the box Dansko Mary Janes. My size and brand new.........THE FIND OF THE DAY!

Then at noon, I decided I had nothing to wear to my reunion so we headed to Macy’s to find me something wonderful. Something that made me look 65 pounds lighter, 20 years younger, and like I had my shit together. After plowing through the racks for an hour or so, trying on a million items I decided that maybe I would just take my undecided items home. I was convinced they would look totally different after I showered, washed and styled my hair, shaved my legs, and put a little make up on. They didn’t! I ended up rummaging through the clothes basket and finding a sweater. I was comfortable, felt like I had my shit together a little (I gave up on the other 2 goals) and I was off! I admit, I had been dragging my feet a little not wanting to go. I just had it in my mind that I see the people I want to see. PISSY PISSY PISSY Attitude! For all of you fellow classmates saying the same thing, and not showing up……………you missed out!

The Burlington Edison Class of '83 has never been known for being able to organize and execute well. Now mind you, we all seem to do fine on our own, as individuals, but as a group we have never been able to quite get it together. I will say this………….we work well on they fly! Case in point; Our Freshman Homecoming Float. We did it the morning of the parade. We worked for weeks on it, but apparently when kegs are present, we are a group that is more into just having fun and not working!

This reunion get together was planned about 3 weeks ago, and we tried to notify as many people as possible with e-mail and a posting on Classmates.com. The local paper let us down for a posting (Thanks for nothing Skagit Valley Herald) and I... Yes I... Princess Lazy Ass, forgot to put a posting on Craigslist like I said I would. Sorry everyone!
Here are few pictures from my 25th class reunion.

That's right! 40 something acting like 16! I'll be sure to post the e-mail that I got after posting this photo of Patti.
That's me chatting with Bryan. He is an excellent craftsman. If you are local and need a good contractor.........contact me, and I'll put you in touch with him.
He rocks!

The girls!
Here are the girls again. Don't they look fabulous for 40-something.
This was suppose to be a group shot but .......well it was a bar, it was late, and......need I say more.

Earl and Renata... High school sweethearts, still married. Isn't that so fantastic? I learned that Renata is a fellow junker. Her and I will be getting together!
This is our little group of Edison kids that showed up. We all grew up together in Bow and went to grade school (K-8) together, then high school. We always have so much fun when we get together. Next year will be our Edison Kids 30 year grade school reunion. We planning on having a big hootenanny for it.
Me, Suzy, Michele, John, Earl, and Javier.
More of my fabulous photography skills. This was outside on the patio of The Sports Keg where we had our shin dig.
John and Jeff. Two of the nicest guys in the world!
Well that's all the pictures I have of the reunion. I was hoping that my picture skills had improved since the last adventure, but as you can see I'm still lame !
Well it's Sunday mid-morning and I have been doing nothing but blogging. The Hubs is anxious for me to get my Princess Lazy Ass up and moving doing something constructive (verses my usual destructive) today. So I guess I better get busy!
HAVE A GREAT DAY!
